The Goldman Weighs Requirement For Charity by Louise Story - NY Times this morning... if your blood pressure is too low you might want to read it; In my opinion, a huge can of worms opened. 'That the 1000 top workers might come up with 4% of their yearly salary for charity!!' Granted that would still be a fat roll of dough... but 4%??? come on - whatever happened to the 10% that has been a standard as the least amount for those who are able? Talk about bad advertisement - a printed invitation to push all their customers to take their funds/money out of Goldman and put it into the smaller banks, as has been suggested over the past weeks. There is the old... 'we have a failure to communicate' problem that is existing between the widening gap of the haves and have-nots... do you think a visit to a homeless shelter and/or a soup kitchen in their neighborhoods might be a requirement for these high-enders?
AND - I am willing to judge them... call it wrong for anyone who is that wealthy not to give and share in their over-abundance - especially after what has happened in the World these past 8 years.
